Old and New

The week is coming to a close once again! Monday will be our one month anniversary. Sooo weird!

We made our first big newlywed purchase this week: a bed! It is super awesome and luxurious. We had been borrowing the full that my mom used when she was a senior in high school, and which my parents used when they were first married. So, as sentimental as it was to sleep there, it was a much better use of our money to splurge for the new one rather than wait and rack up chiropractic bills.

Now that things are starting to get a little more routine for us around here, I still feel very unsettled. I haven't really lived in the same place for more than a couple months since before I started school. Living out of boxes and suitcases can really take a toll on a body. As wonderful as it is living rent free here with my parents, I cannot wait to finally be settled, and be able to unpack all of my things that have been trading spaces between my room and a box according to season. We're trusting God has a perfect plan for us though! In our perfect world: we both find awesome jobs, find a super cute, quaint little house with lots of yard for low low payments, and some secret benefactor pays off all my student loans! But I guess if life were that easy, it wouldn't be as exciting :)

Speaking of jobs, we're both still playing the waiting game. All of Cory's applications are in, so we're waiting for some bites on those. And I'm just waiting for my transcript to get here so I can send my applications off. (side note: shouldn't the school I'm going to spend a good chunk of my life paying for just send me my little piece of paper for free and in a timely manner? Is that too much to ask??) And, the other job that I would really love, pushed back letting me know more from the end of June to the end of July. geeeeze. God sure must love the waiting game, that joker :)

Laterrr!!
Love, Casey
(and Cory)
