Movin on up

It has been well over a month since my last post and much has happened. In short, Cory got a job and then we weren't so sure, but then he got it again! So it's official that he is employed -- thank the Lord!! It is seriously such a blessing. We were trusting that God had a plan and that things would happen in His timing, and He definitely came through for us :)

Cory will be teaching 7th and 8th grade art at the newest middle school in Keller ISD. This school is a "hybrid" school which means it's 5-8 instead of just 7-8 -- not so weird in the north, but down here it's like crazy talk. They actually started classes a week ago, but then it turned out they had more kids sign up for art then they originally planned for (God is so cool!!). Well they called Cory up, and after lots of paper work and phone tag, Cory is the new man on campus. He starts Monday. It will be pretty interesting at first because he has no idea what his schedule will be like or even where he'll be holding class (since the first art teacher will be staying in the art room), but we are still considering ourselves very, veeery blessed.

As for me, I am happy to just substitute teach for a little while. I would really like to be in the offices, maybe at the admin building, but I figure this will be a good way to get my name out there. We plan on joining the indoor soccer team that the district has, so hopefully I'll be able to market myself pretty well. Cory and I were talking about this the other day -- he has all these grand hopes and dreams of things that he wants to do with his life... meanwhile, give me something to sing and I'm happy. So, I'm kind of like the perfect sidekick! I think God planned it that way :)

And finally, FINALLY, we will be moving out in September! We put money down on an apartment, kind of before we were even sure about Cory's job, but it has all worked out really well. We love the complex, and we already made one apartment friend! This week we'll also be starting a young couples small group, so I'm really excited to begin making other couple friends.

This has been such an adventure so far, I cannot wait for what the future holds. For those of you reading this, let us know what's up! Even though we're pumped for new friends and faces, I'm feeling a little homesick for my Grove City gang -- and likewise for all of Cory's cronies.

God bless!! And keep those prayers coming :)
Love, Casey
(and Cory)
